Pattern Life is a simple organization with a simple purpose – we want to follow our Pattern and, then, attempt to be a
pattern of how to implement the educational principles outlined in the Bible and the writings of Ellen White. It’s not too
difficult to have a fairly rich understanding of the Lord’s will with respect to education and life. We know, for instance,
that we should live sanctified lives. It is less common to find organizations that attempt to implement these directives
in a deliberate, obedient way. Those organizations that do attempt to follow the Lord’s counsel literally have much to
offer the larger Seventh-day Adventist, and Christian, communities.
Pattern Life operates 2 schools in India, one school in America, and provides for all of the daily support for a small
collection of wonderful Indian children, whom we love very much.
We’re different from most organizations in the following ways:

specific, fashion, unless the context makes clear a different intent.
• We are grateful for all financial support, but we do not offer tax deductible receipts because we are
not a 501-C3 organization. We have not sought tax exemption status, because we desire to maintain
strict control of the organization so that we can always say “yes” to the Lord’s revealed will.
• Pattern Life returns a tithe of 10% and gives 10% of gross receipts, i.e., $20 of each $100 Pattern
Life receives is either returned to the Seventh-day Adventist church as tithe, or is given to another
organization or individual who is unrelated to Pattern Life but who is moving the Lord’s work forward.
• We take agricultural training seriously; consequently, our American school year runs throughout the
summer, with “summer” vacation scheduled in the winter.
